- CARING FOR YOUR BREATHABLE WADERS
Now, let's talk about how you can make your waders last forever.

Your waders are rather incredible when you think about it. Keeping water from getting in while letting perspiration out is quite a trick. Here's the secret -- water molecules in a gaseous form (perspiration) are a lot smaller than water molecules in a liquid form, so the Amphitex breathable membrane prevents anything larger than a perspiration molecule to pass through. So wind and water stay out.

For maximum comfort, we recommend you wear a polar fleece garment or other material that wisks perspiration away from your skin. You may notice a little perspiration build-up around your ankles and feet after a long, hot day on the river. Heck, not even we can make neoprene booties breathable. Just turn them inside out at the end of the day to let the feet dry.

Your waders were tank tested to make sure there are no leaks. Should you develop a leak due to a puncture, place a small amount of Aqua-Seal (about a dime size) on the inside of the wader around the hole. If the leak is from a tear in the fabric rather than a puncture, return them to us for repairs.

Once in a while you should hand wash your waders in warm water with an unscented, mild, powder detergent. Do not use a washing machine, liquid detergent or chlorine bleach. Rinse thoroughly and hang to dry. Do not bundle them up to dry or dry-clean them.

If drops of water won't bead on the outside, spray your waders with a water repellent spray, like 3M Scotch Guard for fabrics, but not a silicon base spray. (DO NOT IRON WADERS).
